Feminism as a Libido Suppressant

If this doesn’t make your day, I don’t know what will.

I would also be surprised if the results of this scientific study come as a surprise. Gender equality, Psychology Today reports, suppresses libido, for men and women, but especially for women. Link here.

Now, tell me, you suspected it already, didn‘t you? But you were afraid to say it out loud.

To be perfectly fair, I would mention that some people might want to suppress libido; some couples might use it as an effective contraceptive technique. Better than the pill; better than the IUD; even better than abstinence: feminism.

But if you want to get it on more often, then you would do best to ignore feminist illusions of gender equality.

So, what turns women on? The research says that it’s male dominance. As you know, the feminist mind will take this to be a total obscenity.

The authors of the Psychology Today article explain: “Almost every quality of dominant males triggers arousal in the female brain: dominant scents, dominant gaits, deep voices, height, displays of wealth. Romance heroes are almost always high status alpha males--billionaires, barons, surgeons, sheriffs. Avon Books and Ellora's Cave feature no heroes who are kindergarten teachers, accountants, or plumbers. Even though there's been a trend away from the conspicuously rapey bodice-rippers of the seventies and eighties, women still want strong, dominant men.”

This implies that men are aroused, not only by being dominant, but by being with submissive women: “On the other hand, most men are aroused by being dominant, as evidenced by the massive cross-cultural popularity of dominance-themed adult Web sites for men…..Our mammalian brains come wired with very ancient sexual preferences, quite prominent in the most popular forms of male and female erotica preferred by Homo sapiens. Men are aroused by being dominant and by submissive women, women are aroused by being submissive and by dominant men. In the bedroom, inequality beats equality.”

In previous times, men had "position power" merely by the fact of being male, with the social & legal prerogatives that implied, and this probably activated the dominance attraction factors in a woman, especially a wife to some extent.. With that changed, dominance factors have to be sought out more explicitly, which may account for men either being more driven for success or simulating dominance factors via things like "game." Also for more interest in dominance-submission rituals in the bedroom.

If there are no plumbers, then it's because these books are written by women who've never had a toilet break in the middle of the night. Give me a man who can fix things.

My best friend's daughter is marrying a kindergarten teacher. We are all thrilled. He is tall, handsome, smart, and will be a great husband and father. Also, he is honest. An infinitely better catch than someone working on Wall St. They won't be rich, but they will be happy.

I do agree that many modern men are wimps, chiefly the PC ones. BUT no sane woman wants to be dominated. The recent horrific murder of poor Sarah Coit shows what dreadful things are done by dominant men.

Strength, confidence, chivalry, and dignity will always appeal to women. But bossy, manipulative men are repellent and can be dangerous.
